Welcome to the Bike-Circus
400 km of mountain bike trails, 720 km of cycling networks in the region, single trails, downhill & freeride options, Dirt Park, North Shore and training courses - oh bikers heart, you beat so fast!
The Glemmtal saw the potential years ago in the growing biker community, and identified trends and reacted to those trends immediately.
Today, the valley has a rich diversity of opportunities that is unparalleled. Whether you are a cross country rider, soul rider, free rider or a downhill expert – there is something for everyone.
You don’t have to be a professional – looking at the collection of the various terms used one realizes: mountain biking is not necessarily mountain biking.
Some love to conquer as much altitude as possible in the shortest amount of time from bottom to top, others from top to bottom. Some prefer smooth gliding along wide cycle tracks, others prefer steep, narrow trails – the wilder, the better.
Whatever your preferences look like Glemmtal provides not only various options, but also has and provides the experts and the right equipment needed. The know-how and the right equipment must be available in order for a fun day to be complete.
the World Games of Mountain
It is not unusual that those who become curious will contact a bike guide and start a technical driving course.
The Training terrain in Wieserauberg prepares you risk-free and in a step by step approach in front of small and large objects on the terrain. There you learn everything about switchbacks, steep descents, correct braking and Co.
And if you get hungry for more, you can dare yourself to cross one of the single trails - such as the Hacklberg Trail. It is certainly one of the most beautiful single trails in the valley. It is also one of the best known flowing trails in Austria. And if you are after the complete challenge, you will find it at the Big-5-Bike Challenge. Within a day you complete about 65 km, 5000 meters in altitude downhill and 500 meter in altitude back uphill.
Saalbach Hinterglemm offers mainly two important events: the World Games of Mountain Biking and the GlemmRide Bike Festival. The countless professionals who participate annually in these competitions, highlight the competence of the Region.
